Welcome to Dive Zone Bay of Islands - Your adventure begins at our dive center, where we’ll meet at 8am at 5 Klinac Lane, Waipapa. After a warm welcome from our friendly team, we'll spend about 30-40 minutes completing pre-dive registration and arranging any rental gear you may need. This is a great time to chat with your fellow divers and get excited about the day ahead! Drive to launch site 20-30mins. There may be some space in our vehicle otherwise you may need to drive yourself.

At the boat ramp, you will don your wetsuit, we’ll board our Stabicraft dive boat, Rika Maru. With a maximum of just 7 divers, our trips are intimate and tailored to your experience level. The boat ride to the dive site is about 35 mins, giving you time to soak in the breathtaking views on the way.

Before we dive in, our experienced dive guides will provide a thorough briefing, covering dive site details, safety procedures, and what marine life you can expect to see. We’ll also conduct a final gear check to ensure everything is in perfect working order. If you’re using your own equipment, please note that it will be subject to our safety inspection. With everyone energized, we’ll gear up and back-roll in. Our dive sites offer a variety of underwater landscapes, from vibrant reefs to fascinating wrecks. We will complete 2x dives with a surface interval on the boat in between.

We’ll arrive back at the dive center late-afternoon, where you can rinse off your gear, swap stories with your fellow divers, and even check out our shop. If you’d like, you can also take a look at some unique pieces of the HMNZS Canterbury wreck on display in our store.
