What You'll Learn
During your Instructor Development Course (IDC), you will master the PADI System of Education through a series of practical workshops and presentations. Your training will cover all core PADI courses and essential topics like risk management, teaching strategies, and the business of diving.
Key performance requirements include:
Teaching Presentations: Deliver presentations in confined water, the classroom, and open water.
Skill Demonstration: Perform all 24 dive skills to a professional standard.
Watermanship: Complete a 400-metre swim and a 10-minute float.
Dive Theory: Pass a five-part theory exam with a score of 75% or higher on each section.
Become an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor
To become a PADI Instructor, you must also be certified as an EFR Instructor. This valuable one-day training is conveniently integrated into your IDC schedule before the final Instructor Examination.
